Walking
This is one of my favorite pastime...walking. Here in the office, I rarely sits down. I'm always moving from one place to another. If I'm not in a hurry, instead of using the elevator, I would walk up or down the stairs even if it means walking five levels up or down. Then, sometimes, pag ayaw ko pang umuwi, I would go to Glorietta and walk around aimlessly for hours. When the gang want to meet-up, for example in Megamall at 3 pm, and I have so much free time, I would walk from EDSA-Guadalupe to SM Megamall. I'll be starting my walk at about 1:30 pm and reach the mall at around 2:30 pm. One time, the meeting place was SM North. I took the MRT from Ayala. Since maaga pa naman, naglakad na lang ako from Quezon Ave to SM North. Example, during heavy traffic instead of waiting but di nyo subukang maglakad. If the time you spent while waiting was sent in walking then mas mabilis kayong makakarating sa pupuntahan nyo.
Running
Sometimes, pag ayaw ko namang maglakad, I would run. Kaya nga when I buy shoes, I make sure na pwede syang pantakbo, leather man o hindi. Maganda rin ang takbo especially when traffic. Remember the "Jelly fish" blackout? I was at Pedro Gil when that event struck. The curfew in our dorm was 10 pm and 9:45 na ay papasok pa lang kami ng Quiapo. Super traffic na sa Quaipo, as in, stand still na talaga. Since di ko pa naiimbento noon yung "How-to-survive-after-curfew" thing ko, baba ako sa jeep and I ran as long as there was a ground. It was a race against time but I managed to made it inside UST.
Walk or Run?
Should you run or walk when its raining? If you run, think of all those extra raindrops that you are colliding with which you would otherwise have missed. On the other hand, if you walk you will be out in the rain for longer. My strategy in this kind of scenario is choose the option that will make you as dry as possible. So, therefore, I should run. Eh paano kung malakas ang hangin and the rain was falling at an angle?

It's not the distance between point A and point B that matters but how you make the journey between point A and point B.
